The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has extended invitations to veteran BJP leaders LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi to participate in the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya scheduled for January 22, 2024.
Both Advani and Joshi played pivotal roles in the historic Ram Mandir movement. Alok Kumar, a member of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, announced the invitation, expressing that the pioneers of the Ram Mandir movement had confirmed their intent to attend.
However, this follows a statement from the Ram Temple Trust, suggesting that due to health and age concerns, the elders might opt out. This comes a day after the temple trust said that LK Advani (96) and Murli Manohar Joshi (89) are unlikely to attend next month’s consecration ceremony due to their health and age.
The preparations for the consecration ceremony will be completed by January 15 and the puja for 'praan pratistha' will start from January 16 and will continue till 22nd January
